Protection When You Need It
DAN membership provides valuable benefits for eligible diving-related medical expenses, including hospitalisation, medical treatment and recompression chamber treatment.
Members also have access to emergency medical evacuation benefits when travelling more than 100 km from home or while on a dive trip.
Choose Your DAN Cover Plan
Annual Cover
It takes less than 10 minutes to sign up for Annual Dive Cover as a recreational diver, freediver or spearfisher. DAN dive cover includes payment towards hospitalisation, medical and hyperbaric treatment, and certain other costs associated with diving-related accidents. Get up to R900,000 of emergency dive cover.
Temporary Cover
Sign up for Temporary Dive Cover as a recreational diver, freediver or spearfisher. This package gives you peace of mind while travelling and can be taken in increments of five days at a time. Cover is limited to diving outside your country of residence, with a cover limit of R300,000.
Student Cover
DAN Student Cover is free for eligible entry-level recreational diving, freediving and spearfishing students. It provides up to R300,000 in cover for diving-related injuries from the first pool session until the qualifying dive, for a maximum of six weeks. Cover limit: R300,000.
Emergency Assistance
DAN’s 24-hour Emergency Hotline provides access to diving medical professionals who can assist with diving emergencies, coordinate appropriate care and help arrange emergency evacuation when required.
