We’ll guide you through each step, so you know exactly what’s coming and feel confident before getting in the water.
Deep Diving Knowledge
Learn how depth affects your body, equipment, air consumption and overall dive planning.
Plan Your Deep Dives
Develop safe techniques for planning dives beyond 18 metres, including gas management, depth limits and emergency procedures.
Practise Deep Diving Skills
Build confidence with buoyancy, navigation, depth awareness and communication while diving at greater depths.
Complete Four Deep Dives
Put your knowledge into practice across four supervised open-water dives, progressively gaining experience at deeper depths.
Certification
Complete the course requirements and earn your PADI Deep Diver Specialty certification.
About This Course
The lure of the deep… There’s something exciting and mysterious about exploring deeper dive sites while scuba diving. The PADI Deep Diver course will enable you to dive with confidence to depths from 18–40m.
This course is made even more enjoyable when done in conjunction with the Enriched Air course.
What you will learn:
- Equipment considerations for Deep Diving
- Deep dive planning, buddy contact procedures and buoyancy control
- Managing your gas supply, dealing with gas narcosis and safety considerations
